Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Solar PV Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of Solar PV installations. This is a key role within our renewables operation, responsible for managing the full customer journey—from initial enquiry through to system design, installation delivery, completion sign‑off, and invoicing.
You’ll combine strong technical knowledge with excellent organisation and customer‑facing skills, ensuring safe, compliant, high‑quality installations that meet customer expectations and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming Solar PV enquiries and customer communications
- Schedule and carry out site surveys
- Design compliant and efficient Solar PV systems
- Prepare and issue quotations, advising customers on available finance options
- Organise and order materials, equipment, and installation labour
- Coordinate and support installation teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Manage customer relationships throughout the installation process
- Oversee completed works sign‑off and ensure accurate client invoicing
- Work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement and uphold company values across all activities
Technical Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Strong electrical background with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Level 3 Award in the Installation & Maintenance of Small‑Scale Solar PV Systems
- Solid understanding of Solar PV system design, commissioning, and handover
- Working knowledge of MCS standards (MIS 3002) and compliance requirements
- Proven experience in Solar PV system design, installation, or project management
Desirable
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 / 2394 / 2395 or equivalent)
- Experience working within MCS, NICEIC, or NAPIT frameworks
- Project management qualifications (PRINCE2, CAPM, PMP, or similar)
- Experience with battery storage systems and DNO applications
