We are a well-established domestic heating company specialising in gas boiler installation, servicing, and repairs. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and organised Storeman / Stores Coordinator to manage our warehouse operations and support our installation and service teams.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring all materials and equipment are prepared, issued, and replenished efficiently so that our heating engineers can operate without delay.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining an organised, efficient warehouse
- Preparing and issuing materials for installation and service teams
- Issuing, checking, and replenishing engineers’ van stock
- Ordering stock, consumables, and materials as required
- Monitoring stock levels to ensure availability at all times
- Carrying out vehicle and van stock checks
- Delivering materials to sites and collecting unused or returned items
- Assisting engineers on-site or in the stores when required
- Maintaining accurate records of stock movements
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or stock control role
- Good knowledge of plumbing and heating materials, including fittings and consumables
- Ability to identify parts quickly and accurately to support engineers
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
